Jaipur Express

The first thing u ll imagine when someone talks about a college is an
encircled group of friends engaged in a jolly conversation.
Ours was also a huge group..I can't even count how many were there..
During the last semester of our Grad, five of us
(Rahul,Bihari,Mish,Patil and myself)
planned to go on a tour, plan of going around the country.

I was from Bidar, which is in south india,Rahul was from jodhpur, which
comes in west and mukesh was from dhanbad which comes in the east
part of india. The plan went like this,We decided to go to everyone's
hometown n stay their for a week or so n tour across that part of the
country. Its a hard truth of my group that plannin was the only thing
which we were better at..n after that one more plan..
never we used to work on it.. :-))))
But this one,god knows how, worked immaculately.

The trip started at Mysore,we planned to stay for 5 days at everyones
home. The First destination was Bidar,we roamed around the city for
3 days.Temple,gurudvara,garden,Bidar fort,went across all these places.
On the 4th day morning we left for Hyderabad, the land of sultans's,
a spectacular city having lots of mughal forts. We spent 2 days over
there, went around Mughal Forts,Charminar,Raj Darbars,Film City,Malls,
Biryani Corners(Bawarchi - The best biryani house of hydrabad) n
many other places.

After 2 days in Hydrabad,we boarded Jaipur express. It was a long
journey longed for almost 30 hours. Not even a single chick(babe) we
could find in tat train, but still we swamped the whole journey by
playing cards, jokes, anthaksharis n what not.Reached Jaipur on an
early morning of some beautiful day.

Jaipur, the pink city of India,as soon as we reached, we searched n
found a place to stay, arranged a cab to roam around the city n got
ourselves comfortable for a day's long trip.As the day should start
with a breakfast,so went to have breakfast, some of us were from south
india, who usully prefer idili in their breakfast, but wat an ironic in
terms of price,a single idli which costs arnd 2 rupees in south india,
cost 25 rupees in jaipur, but there was no other go so just gobbled
watever we got n left the place.

The First pit stop was birla temple,we prayed god n begged him for good
marks,a good girl,n offcourse a hefty salaried job(but got ok marks,
no girl, and job..huh..we r actually working for peanuts).
Anyways the next stop was Hawa Mahal,a great palace constructed by a
great arch. The palace was constructed with an intention of keeping it
breezy all 24/7 times,n as said, it was amazingly breezy all the time,
an unbelievable experience for us.

The temperature in Jaipur was also unbelievable,it was aournd 45 C,
and my great friend Rahul took us to a restaurant for lunch n ordered
some dilicious food, the dishes were totally mouth watering, but as the
temperature was also body watering so it was really tough 4 us to eat
anything hot n oily at that time. But i dont know why,we all stuffed that
food without bothering wats gonna happen to our stomach
(And obviously, the next day everybody preferred to stay in a room
which was attached with the restroom. :-)) ).

After that heavy lunch, for a moment we felt as to cancel the whole days
trip n go back to the lodge n sleep as much as we can,but the city was
so amazing tat nothing prevented us from heading further. The next spot
was Jantar Mantar(Magic Magic) as the name says, its a place filled up
with many half build constructions(walls, stairs, pits etc etc) each one
had its own scientific significance.Around 400 years back, ppl used to
guess amass of things using these constructions.Like guessing the exact
time, guessing the next full moon day, lookin at different constellation
figures in different angles n many more things.a place where everyone
wishes to stay as long as possible, since he keeps discovering new
things as he moves around.

Jaipur has a movie theatre, its the third most beautiful theatre in Asia,
a palace unleashed into a movie theatre. We decided to watch a movie
there n left for tat place,we got the tickets as well,it was almost an
hr for the movie to start, till tat time we thought of exploring the
palace..oops!!! i mean theatre..Man!!! wat a theatre it is,as we started
moving around it, an immense aristocratic feeling started running through
our veins, the carpets, jhumbers, lights, wall paintings everything was an
exemplary of perfect royalism. One hour flew like seconds there,And
finally it was time to enter the screen hall,we had to give the tickets
before entering the screen hall,so all my friends started staring at me,
I asked wats wrong?.they said get the tickets out.I searched for tickets,
"Oh!! damm!!! i dont have the tickets, where the hell did i lose them?".
I felt as if i gave them to someone,so all started searching their
pockets,n finally....guess what?.....................we lost the tickets.
Clouds of agitation slowly started covering us,all other tickets were also
sold out.Again we went around the palace, but this time it was in search of
tickets.Stairs, canteen, restroom we searched them everywhere but
"Honi ko kaun tal sakta hai"(u cant change the fait accompli..right?).
We wanted to watch the movie at any cost,Mukesh, one among us, who
suits best when it comes for negotiating,we lead him with us to talk to
the manager,we tried to convince the manager in so many ways tat we
were the one who bought those tickets, manager was totally reluctant to
us.But finally with the help of our great negotiator,we ended up in an
agreement that, if any other person comes with the tickets of same serial
no,we will make our way out.Thats all.........Wat a sigh after that,we saw
the movie as if it was the first time we were in a movie theatre..
whistling, shouting all sensible things we did there..
That theatre really ROCKSSSSSSS..

Later after the movie, none felt like having food as we had stuffed
properly in the noon.We had to catch a train in the night for Jodhpur,
hometown of Rahul. The cab driver dropped us to the railway station.
We were carrying a total of 13 bags with us,everyone was responsible for
his own belongings.we reached the platform where the train bound to
Jodhpur was supposed to come.the train was late by 2 hours, everyone
was tired n was waiting for the train..waiting..waiting..waiting..
And then we heard the citation "ur attention please,Jodhpur express is
expected to arrive on platform no 2,in a short time",meanwhile there
was one more citation saying "a Rajdhani Express bound to Jaipur is
expected to arrive on platform no 1 in short time".

I was too excited to see the Rajdhani Express as it was one of the fastest
train running in India.I was not at all bothered about my train.
All my friends were making fun of me, saying "Dont behave like a kid,
get ready, our train is coming".But who cares.
Within short time we heard the train's siren from both sides,as they
were coming from opposite directions and in sometime both arrived to
their respective platforms.Everyone was busy in lifting their bags n
searching for our coach n i was busy in taking the glance of Rajdhani.
My friends dragged me to our coach n even there i didnt go to my seat,
i was standing near the door n was lookin at the Rajdhani.I was staring
at it as if never in my lifetime i am gonna see it.Finally our train departed
n the Rajdhani was still there,I was looking at it till i could see its last
glance, atlast the Rajdhani disappeared.I was so happy for watchin the
fastest train in India.Man wat a feelin after tat i really cant express
them in words. And then i went to my seat/berth.All my friends were making
fun of me by asking "Now happy..Done with Rajdhani",they started
passing all sarcastic comments on me,but i didnt bother to any of them
at all..I was lil tired n wanted to get fresh,I started searchin my
bag for towel.searching.....searching....searching.....
And Guess what..........................................................
I forgot my bag in the platform..I shouted
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"..screamed..
gave punch to one of the seats....uttered "Damm..shit.."
shock my head..aaahhhhhhhhhh........
I had bought a dress..a saree for mom..a dress for sis..apart from this
all my tshirts(fav dress of mine)..n more over my friend(Vinay)'s camera..
his saree i mean the one which he had got for his mom..so many things..
all these were there in that bag..I was so sad at that time, was completely
brooding over what had happened..all my friends tried soothing me..
i didnt sleep for the entire 6 hrs journey..it was one of the
saddest 6 hrs journey(train) of my life..

Next day morning as soon as we reached Jodhpur i went out for shoppin
since i had nothin to wear apart from the night dress which i had
wore for the journey.First day in jodhpur none wanted to go out..not
because i had lost so many things..but because we all had stuffed so
much the previous day that everyone thought its a good idea to stay
in a bedroom which was attached to the restroom.. :-))

We stayed in Jodhpur for 3 days..n then continued our journey to
Bihar then Calcutta n Darjiling..

The entire 25 days trip was one of the most memorable trips of my life..
not because i lost my bag..but because we went across all part of the
country..met our friends parents..they loved us like their own kids..
met all different ppl..ate all different types of food..
and did helluva fun throught the journey..

Those memories will linger in my life forever n ever n ever..

The Restroom - hilarious

After completing my graduation i started working in a software firm.
CM was my first project there,n the work was too hectic,
we worked day n night to give fruitfull results to the client.
But still,a client is a client,nevertheless gets satisfied.. :-)

We had a dormitory of one room, in which there were four beds n a tv.
The door board of the dormitory read "The Restroom".
After a long stretch of work,we used to go the restroom n take a nap.
But after some days the restroom got restricted only for girls,
it was the first saddest thing which happend with us there n
then continued to countless..

One day, As I was doing my work very honestly, without browsing for
more than 30 minutes of every hour, All of a sudden it flashed me that
i have to meet the HR guys so i locked my desktop and
headed towards the HR block.
After finishing my work with HR, thought i will go n have tea,As i
opened the door n wanted to come out of HR block,A tall guy,
with a long bag on one side of his shoulder approached me n said "Hi"

At first, looking at him i got jitters thinking tat he thinks tat i am some
bigshot n gave him the looks as if even i am the HR manager.
He was looking very dizzy, with a total disheveled look,
he asked me "Sir,where is the rest room here?".
I didnt wanted to reveal the truth to him,but coudnt hide it as well.
I told him Mr blah blah there is no restroom here n the very next moment
the smile on his face vanished,he was just speechless for a moment.

Mr blah blah: what!!!! there is no restroom here?????(with a big frown on his face.)

I was dreaming as to record this conversation n play it
infront of the HR guys,so tat they realise how important it is
to have a restroom.but then, lookin at his face
came out of my dream n blurted ya,no restroom here.

Mr blah blah : How the hell there is no rest room here?

I thought i will tell him the whole story, but didn't have
tat much time.so told him,ya there is a rest room but
it is restricted only for girls. so u cannot go,
listening to this his face went pale, total color change,
he agaped in terror as if some horror scene is going on.

Mr blah blah : So wat about me?where am i supposed to go?

are!!! wat the hell, why is he asking me?.
I thought to utter the famous bollywood dialogue saying "Chillao mat"
(do not shout), but looking at his face i just kept quiet.

Mr bllah blah : then how do u ppl manage without the restroom?

I said(with a sad face),ya previously it was little tough for us
to manage without it,but now we r used to it so not a big deal.

Mr blah blah : But boss,I can't manage,is there any other alternative?

I went into the thoughts, thinking where will i send this guy,
as i was looking around, i saw the lobby down n told him
there is a lobby downstairs u will feel comfortable over there.
...................................................................................
...................................................................................
Thats it.....Listening to this Mr blah blah shock his head.Again
there was a color change on his face but this time not the pale one. :-)

Mr blah blah : sir u have mistaken me,I want to go to the LOOOOOOOO,so can u PLEASE tell me where is it?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
I was about to burst on his face, but controlled a lot,
poor guy, but dont know how much he would have cursed my company,
i thought i'll yell at him for tat reason, but as it was
no ones mistake so didnt say anything..

And finally, showed him the way to THE REST ROOM
n saw the feel of comfort on his face. :-)))

Friends

Friends, jeezzzz...it feels so secured when we hear this word..
so many beautiful concepts are built around this word..
I've a poetic one..:-)

Sun is trying to come out of his bed..n same time the power goes off..
and guess what, all the mosquitos are march pasting around your ears
n some having their cup of tea in the form of your blood. If you are still in
bed tats gonna aggravate ur situation....so wat u gonna do then?
i think a normal person will come out of his bed,
may be stand in the lounge or best you can do is go to the terrace
and after that.............................................wooow.......
all your frustration is gone..your mood is totally changed now..
the freshness of air,its warmth, comfort,u feel wat a pleasat moment it is.
Exactly the same comfortness u feel when u meet your friend,
though how much ever bad mood u r in. Isn't it true?
but here, there is a difference..in this case you need not have to
impel yourself to getup early n go to terrace.

A famous Danish adage says "A road to a friend's house is never long."
so true..In one of the semester's of ur graduation
u gotta complete a project by end of it and the
whole semester u flick like ashes of a smoked puff..
and finally the most waited demo day comes to just day after..
you havent done a single line of preparation..
and your project report is also not ready, so wat will you do then?...
yup..you will decide to study for the entire night..and wat about the
project report???...yeahh...you will go to your best buddy n beg him
to prepare your proj report by morning, using some docs, and you will
lure him by saying "Yaar Ek beer diladoonga,Please",
since he is your best buddy so he will promptly agrees to watever u ask,
but he has a small request which he asks very politely..
"Ek beer se kya hoga be..3 beer aur 2 chilli chicken dilade
mai adjust kar loonga."..:-)))
tats why they say "A friend in need is a friend in deed"..

Every friend is different person in himself..some funny some crazy, caring,
juvenile, adamant n some very composed, agrees to watever u say..
You r totally free on some weekend n ur girlfriend is also out of town so u r too bored, dont know wat u gonna do on the weekend, then u call this friend n tell him tat u r bored..he will travel from mangalore(where he stays) to bangalore, over 500 km, just to hang out with u for the weekend.
(though last weekend he was already been to bangalore for the same reason)..

All these guys make our world so wonderful..
a whole-hearted,selfsecrificing,loving friend strengthens us in time of trouble and adds to our happiness in time of joy and success..
Cheers to all friends.
